Professional Career Training
General Program Information
Description of program
Broaden your horizons and apply your academic skills during an internship in the USA. Increase your cultural knowledge, and furthermore, see for yourself what you are capable of. Invest in your own academic and professional career!
The Professional Career Training / Internship program is designed to promote professional, cultural and business training exchanges for international professionals and graduate students. There are two strands within this program, one being Hospitality and Tourism Management based, and the other being Professional Business Trainee Program USA.
It offers international students and young professionals the opportunity to participate in extensive internships or longer term career placement positions with a reputable and well-established US business. The emphasis of this program is to enhance your skill set and use the knowledge and theory you learnt in university to take your career to the next level.
Through on-the-job learning and building strong industry contacts and relationships, you will learn more than any text book or lecturer can teach. A lot can be said about real-world work experience - it puts theory into practice, and it is by far the best way to learn!
International Fusion brings international participants to the United States through its professional career Training Program. It is illegal to begin an internship without a valid J1-Visa! Our partners are designated by the Department of State as a sponsor of an Exchange Visitor Program under the "Trainee" category. This designation allows our partners to issue Form DS2019 to qualified Training Program participants in order to apply for the J1 visa.
What is a J-1 Visa?
The J-1 visa is issued to overseas visitors for educational and cultural exchange purposes only. It is not a work visa. International Fusion’s program partners are designated sponsors to oversee exchange visitors including trainees in this Training Program and to provide required paperwork for exchange visitors to apply for the J-1 visa. The J-1 visa category was established by the U.S. government through the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961 in order to promote the foreign policy objectives of the U.S. and to increase mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and other countries through educational and cultural activities.
